DeWitt Community Church — Attraction in Town of De Witt

The music is awesome and overall the preaching is average, but you will find this a very liberal church. During a "patriotic" service the sermon was given almost apologetically, in line with liberal anti-nationalist beliefs. And while the military etc. was prayed for (with justifying remarks), they refused to mention the Commander-in-Chief or even pray for the President. If you listen closely to sermons you will realize the pastor fancies himself a Progressive intellectual. The Baptists seem to be the only ones still holding to traditional American values and...

I was part of the yearly craft show there a few years back. It was well laid out and plenty of room for all the vendors. I had only done one show prior but this was right before Christmas. If your a vendor or want to attend a nice local craft show this would be highly recommended. I only have limited knowledge of the church but everyone was super friendly...

Pretty church. Simple. My son's wedding was held here and everything went smoothly. Handicap parking and wheelchair ramp with easy access. The benches are a bit tight so getting over/by someone can be tough. Acoustics are good and projected well from the alter. My daughter sang with a piano player and it sounded beautiful....
