I came through town for my brother’s birthday and a personalized gift ordered elsewhere fell through due to an inventory issue. I called the UPS Store to see if they could make something on a limited timeline. Amanda, who designs and prints for for multiple area stores, was extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. She reviewed different options to make sure the layout was just how we wanted and at a price point I felt good about. Despite expressing that I would have likely been pleased with whatever she came up with (given my timeline) I admired that she still wanted to make sure it looked great.
A store associate named Carolyn assisted me when picking up the card. She was incredibly kind, caring, and went above and beyond in providing outstanding customer service. Despite a few people queuing up in line, Carolyn took her time with me to make sure I was fully content and that all looked right. Another guy working with her was very nice and a total pro, making sure the others were helped while she handled my order. Because I was gifting tickets for an event that we don’t have hard copies for yet, Carolyn crafted a memorable substitute and helped me put together a perfect gift in a tight spot with limited time.

Read more“Melissa” or “Marissa” whatever their name is, is not very smart and should probably not work a job where they have to use critical thinking skills, or any thinking skills. My package was 1.4lbs and when i went to ship it, they put it as 19lbs in the system and charged $56 for shipping. I had to refund it, went home and got a label for $9. Same person also shipped another package of mine that was 1lb. Put it as 2lbs for $13, when i checked it at home it would be $6.
I just think some people aren’t bright enough to work certain jobs, and that’s okay!! Genuinely no shade. But i think maybe she should be moved to a part of the store and where she isn’t responsible for anything important or anything to do with inputting numbers, especially when it comes to customer’s money. I just don’t see how you can make two clerical errors within the same minute and have one be so egregiously incorrect. 2 pounds and 19 pounds are wildly different numbers.
Maybe that person would be more suitable answering phones or something. But don’t bring your packages here unless you pre-purchase a label, or go to a UPS like the one in Cicero that has a fully competent staff.
