I have been taking classes at the Eye Studio for more than 8 years. The review by Penny Novak is not true, but is based on a vindictive threat that she made. I have seen the measures taken by the owners/instructor to teach in a safe, well sanitized environment. Health department regulations referred to in the review apply to restaurants selling food to the public. This kitchen is health department approved for teaching cooking skills, similar to BOCES food programs or classes offered in school. I have come in for my art classes, and seen individuals with disabilities smiling, interacting, and happily preparing food they can proudly say they made themselves. Each student has their own set of sterilized utensils, wrapped in plastic waiting for them when they arrive. I have seen the cleaning process after a class. My only disappointment is that I smell wonderful food when I walk in, sometimes cookies or cakes, but none for me. They have a waiting list. That says it all. Great place, great...
