I bought a Groupon for 15$ for 30$ Deal. So I figured let’s try it out. I’ve tried other mediterranean restaurants in the Syracuse area. First off they write in the Groupon that you have to purchase a drink per order to use the Groupon which OK I got a dollar water so it wasn’t too much money off of my original $15 for a 30$ deal. I bought the kafta dinner and my fiancé got the chicken kebab dinner. He agreed his meal was pretty tasty the chicken was a little dry the tabouli that came with it was very fresh but wasn’t marinated enough possibly. My kafta meal was really delicious and the rice was extremely good very fresh. The only thing I would say is their hummus is not as good as the other Mediterranean restaurants in the area and also the baklava I ordered was very dry and seemed old I didn’t care for that at all... and I got probably a 1 1/2”square for two dollars. I personally prefer the other Mediterranean restaurants in the area but it was worth a try and it wasn’t horrible but I definitely wouldn’t...
Read moreI originally met the owner's of Goodies while shopping through the farmers market on Saturday mornings. I was pulled in when I heard they had homemade hummus. I decided to grab some along with grape leaves, which was also made from scratch. When I got home and tried them, I was pleasantly surprised. It was absolutely delicious. I was given a business card at the market with the address of the actual restaurant on it, so I decided to have my husband take me out to dinner at Goodies. I ordered Chicken Kabobs and my husband decided to stick with his love for Italian so he ordered the Chicken Riggies. And again we were both in love with the dishes. Along with the delicious food, the service and hospitality of everyone working in the restaurant was wonderful. All around our experience at both the market and the restaurant was way above ordinary. Next time your in the area or just want a great dining experience, head...
Read moreGood Lebanese food... Not great. I appreciate the ma & pa style of this shop. The price was high for the smaller portions (than my local restaurant - Aladdin's in Boardman, Ohio) and there was an overabundance of lemon in the Tabouli but the overall quality was good. I ordered a side of hummus, a 4 piece pastry mix (all were excellent), and the chicken kabobs that came with Tabouli, rice, grilled onions, grilled green peppers, and tomato (tomato was underripe). Hummus had good flavor and was "chunky" style but no olive oil/olive/paprika on top. Chicken had good flavor. The biggest problem I had was that they only gave me one small piece of Pita Bread with my order ($25)... which is unacceptable considering what I ordered. Maybe I caught them on an off night. I will try them again in the future and update the review...
