Hotel Corduroy — Attraction in Town of East Hampton

Very disappointed with this motel. We had a reservation for 9/17, one nite for fishing trip. It was cancelled so we wanted to see if we could stay one nite earlier to get on a fishing trip for the night before or even possibly two wks later. I spent all day on the phone between booking.com and the hotel. I know how third party booking works. First mistake on my part, but as long as the hotel would oblige booking.com request, our reservation could be changed to either the night before or 2 wks later but Sunset was not willing accommodate us. We have stayed in Montauk at Blue Haven for over 30 years. New management ( now for Haven Motel and Sunset ) and new Owners could care less about repeat customers with room available and could assist us but were not willing to. Just the way things are these days, no one cares. Very disappointed with this new Regime. We will make sure our group of friends who come to town to Fish often stay clear of these two motels going...

My friend and I spent 4 nights at this motel. We really enjoyed our stay. The property is really cute. You can walk from the motel to the beach area near Gin Beach and to the shops nearby. We biked nearby and were able to walk to several grocery stores and restaurants. The room was spacious enough for two people. The beds and pillows were literally the most comfortable I have experienced even compared to the most prominent hotel chains. There is plenty of parking available. The motel is set upon the outskirts of one of the original Montauk beach neighborhoods. It is a quiet, relaxed motel open to all - singles, couples, families, etc. We really enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the mornings too. There are refrigerators in each room. I understand they will be renovating the property for a grand opening summer 2025. I will be looking for it and am hoping to stay here again. Definitely worth a stay in...

The Sunset Montauk was a good experience. You never know when looking at photos online whether the room will match the online hype. We were pleasantly surprised that the room was CLEAN, and every aspect appeared to be new or well-maintained. Flooring looked new. Walls looked newly painted, bed and bedding was very comfy and shower was very good. I really dislike the rain shower heads that a lot of hotels install because the spray is light and difficult to get the shampoo out. The showerhead in our room was a standard style that had a nice strong spray. All of the staff we interacted with was very nice...
