It's always been a thought of mine to skydive. I was a flight attendant in my 20s, I always wondered when we reached 30,000 ft what those clouds felt like out there. My uncle passed away a month ago, he was a commerical airline pilot most of his adult life. On his bucket list was to skydive, which he was never able to do. His death was sudden, and he was my fathers best friend. My dad was an ironworker his whole life, so I knew heights weren't a fear for him. I got tired of giving meaningless fathers day gifts he appreciated but never used. I took a chance and booked this, I didn't tell him until 2 days before. He was not happy. Many curse words, many comments about " why can't you just purchase me a coffee mug i'll never use and say Happy Fathers Day!".
We arrived with some kicking and screaming. The crew was amazing. They lightened the mood, took away alot of the fears and the risks ( although they do exist) and eased his mind about the jump.
I jumped with Utah. He talked to me the entire time. Explained everything he was doing, kept me calm and relaxed, he was the perfect amount of excitement, professionalism and calmness I needed. My videographer was amazing, so kind and told me the moment I looked down before jumping out to, " Look at me, it's all good! We got this".
That jump out was an indescribable feeling. Jumping onto a bed of fresh pillows. There was no belly flip like a roller coaster, there was no fear, it was pure bliss. The anxiety and the fear lifted within seconds and all you could think about was, I'm flying. I felt closer to my uncle than I had since he left. My father felt the same.
I would do it again in a heart beat.
AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. From experience, to safety, to professionalism, to thrill, excitement and fun. Not a single thing could have been done differently.
Don't give it a second thought. Go. It will forever change your life, it sure changed mine.
Thank you...
Read moreEveryone should have a “bucket list..” of things they want to do before they leave this earth. But regardless of what you THINK should be on yours, I’m here to say that jumping out of a perfectly good airplane from 13,500 feet above the ground MUST be one of them. I don’t care if you’re afraid of heights. You have not truly felt alive until you have felt the thrill of skydiving. There is no other place you should do it, than here at The Ranch.
The Ranch is a world-renowned skydiving center. I did my second tandem jump here in July 2022. My tandem instructor (aka the guy I was strapped to) was John Dekowski. John was amazing. His demeanor was calm and reassuring. He explained all of the equipment, how it works to keep us safe, and all of the various stages of the process. From preparation, to boarding the aircraft, to the ride up, and finally the thrill of free fall and the beauty of the canopy ride back to a soft and easy landing. John answered all of my questions, quelled any anxiety and fear that I had, and gave me an experience of a lifetime.
Don’t wait until next week. Don’t wait until next year. Take control of your fear, experience life, and come book a tandem jump at Skydive The Ranch. You can thank me later.
PS- I enjoyed it so much that I have now started my courses to get my skydiving...
Read moreBeing that this was my first time skydiving, you could say I was nervous, hesitant, unsure. From the time of arrival my boyfriend and I were welcomed and treated so nicely. I was paired up with Juice and Jaimie. They were just awesome from the start. They calmed me, gave me tips, helped me relax as much as I could lol and went the extra mile to just make me feel comfortable. They were both so sincere. Juice, with all his experience really did make me feel confident from the moment we were in the plane, jumped, in the air, until the landing. He is awesome. I loved Jaimie’s enthusiasm and willingness to keep the momentum going. Let’s just say that I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend to everyone who is interested in skydiving to come and do it at Skydive The Ranch!!! Everyone is friendly and nice. Definitely loved all the pictures and video captured. Go for it, you won’t regret it. Conquer that fear like I did with people who will guide you through it and make sure you feel good about it and yourself. Also, it was my birthday that day…what a way to celebrate!!! My boyfriend and I have birthdays two days apart from each other, it was an amazing present and experience we got to...
