Uptown Attic — Local services in Town of Gardiner

My recent experience with Uptown Attic was disappointing to say the least. At the time of pickup (less than 3 months), I was surprised to see all my returned clothing poorly folded in a Topps paper bag. To add injury to insult, after I inspected the first item, I noticed my jacket had a rip on the collar that was not previously there. I waited for some type of acknowledgment from the shop owner, but nothing-crickets! When I said to her that the jacket is not in the same condition as I left it, the response from the shop owner was as if she couldn't careless. I was told numerous things like my jacket was not leather and that storage temperature could be a factor. Not one time did the shop owner show any signs of being remorseful. Now I have a defected jacket which I will try to sell on my own which would have been in pristine condition. I guess the purpose of this post is just to point out bad business practices and how a person can have such disregard...

I just LOVE shopping at the Uptown Attic! Jodi is always so sweet and has a great eye for quality, pre-loved fashion! I am not typically one for buying second hand clothing because I don't have the patience or like having to sort through aisles and aisles of clothing that probably shouldn't have been on the rack in the first place with the hopes of finding a gem or two... However Jodi does all the hard work for you and makes the experience awesome! She curates only quality brands that are in new or like new condition. I have purchased everything from dresses, to pants, coats, shoes, purses and even jewelry from Uptown Attic! The store is always clean and organized, the prices are always extremely reasonable and the clothes are always quality! Thank you Jodi (and Ivy too!) for updating my wardrobe at great prices! I visited uptown attic a couple of weeks back while my family was camping at Yogi Bear nearby. (had to get away from the boys for a bit!). It is a great store, with a wonderful variety of clothing, shoes, and accessories, all in top shape and smartly displayed so you can find things easily. I ended up leaving with a whole bunch of clothes, a really cute bag, some juicy C slippers, a cool pair of high tops, some accessories, purchased some new locally made jewelry also. I got a ton of stuff and I think I spent under $200. The gal working that day was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return next time...
