SUNY Geneseo — Attraction in Town of Geneseo

Worst decision I've made... and I wasn't even one of the many girls that were s-assaulted in my brief time there... nothing positive to say of this school at all. Such faults at the administration level... inexcusable incompetence. Finance dept. miscalculated my subsidized loan package wrong every year except last (after I finally had a meeting with the department head (really Geneseo, you incompetent garbage~!) leaving me 1.2-1.8k short each semester (unreal) (and nothing covering books) so I graduated with not only student loans but massive c-card debt as well. Violated my privacy seriously on three occasions, meh teachers, very very poor advisor (also poor dorms, and atrocious food, but then, many college students would say that about their schools so... but literally felt sick for four years). Worst decision I...

Wonderful place to get an education and a campus to appreciate. The value for your degree is great, the professors I have truly care about my education, and the courses are challenging, yet rewarding. The atmosphere is friendly yet a bit distant, the peers I have are kind, and the staff I've interacted with have only been respectful and helpful. The social experience can be lonely if you aren't in Greek Life, a sport, and/or clubs/groups. The buildings are beautiful, rather clean, well-lit, relatively accessible, and warm in the winter. Quality of dorm rooms and facilities depends on your residence hall. The climb up the hill is a bit arduous—particularly in colder months—but the view of the valley...

I’m embarrassed to say I went to the school. What a joke that they let people put this stuff up. How sad is our state of society. When people abandon all objective truths and refuse to acknowledge their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I think about all the wacky teachers I had at this place. It makes perfect sense now.I always thought it was ridiculous. How everybody made you call them doctor or professor and somehow they were a better human being because they wasted a bunch of money...
