Newington Cropsey Foundation — Attraction in Town of Greenburgh

An artistic oasis in Hastings on Hudson. Literally a time capsule dedicated to the life, work and family of Jasper Francis Cropsey. There are two buildings, one is the home/studio and the other is the Foundation. Separate rservations are required for each place. The gentleman who gave me the tour of the studio was superb in his knowledge of each and every artwork as well as family artifact. I am regarded as a Hudson River School expert, but when this man spoke, I wisely kept quiet to listen.
