Hastings Own Bagel — Restaurant in Town of Greenburgh

You'd probably walk by here and not realize it if you don't live in this town, but you should. This place may not look like much, but that just makes it so much more better when you finally bite into those bagels. The service is lightning fast. I am not just saying that. I ordered, looked away to say something to my friend, turned around and the girl had my 2 bagels and cream cheese waiting and ready for me before I realized it. Super friendly staff which makes it even more delightful. I think Larry King should stop selling his Brooklyn-based water to bagel shops and pizzerias outside of the Tri-State area and invest in whatever these people are doing, cause it is AMAZING. I think I will be going out of my way more often for this place. Did I mention the cream cheeses they have are worlds better than some of the other places I've gone to in the local area? Talk about this place being a diamond...

Moved to Yonkers new. Came here after hearing good reviews on staff friendliness and bagels. Went for 1st time and staff put ketchup on my bagel when I had specifically said no ketchup. No apology and threw another bagel shooking head instead. Went again today and had my dog with me. She rudely called out from counter “you can’t enter with a dog”. I was shocked by the rudeness and apathy. Wanted to ask if it’s particular staff member policy or store policy. Wish if owner or mgr sees this post, let me know. Food ok but overpriced. Service and atmosphere are on level with a prison cafeteria. Something must be very wrong here for the counter person to interact with customers with such open hostility and contempt. The same tone of hatred extends to signage all over the place telling customers everything they do that annoys the staff. I hope that someone frees these people from the servitude that is obviously making...
