No table service but they charged my party of three their automatic 18% gratuity. We had to place our own order at the bar, seat ourselves, and then walk up to get our food when it was ready once our filthy food covered buzzer went off. Not once did one server even ask us if we needed refills. Say who did I tip?
On top of the $18% gratuity, chuck in another 4% for using a debit card.
Utensils were random mismatching and cheap plasticware. My fork was a small white spork, and the knife was gabbed from a pile of black or white knives sitting in some dirty bin. No lid for our drinks. The spicy cheesy burger was utter trash. The "cheese" made canned cheese looked gourmet and it had a notable foul and stale aftertaste. The chicken salad came on a bed of soggy old romaine lettuce.
On top of it all, the person who took our order at the bar messed up the order. We paid over $70 for two hamburgers, a chicken salad and three small sodas for quality and service that failed to even rival McDonalds. Another prime example of Cooperstown-area establishment taking advantage of their economy-driving...
Read moreWe went to Rookie's earlier this afternoon, after wanting to check it out for a while. It was the Mimosa Flights that got us in the door, where we were immediately greeted by Ashlynn, who also took care of us throughout our visit. Ashlynn was fantastic, taking the time to explain all the different flight options, as well as making sure we knew all the food menu options. Our food was delicious: 2 cheeseburgers, fries, and beef quesadillas. The arcade games were fun. My sister loved playing Skee-Ball and the rubber duck claw game. I especially loved the "Rescue 9-1-1" themed pinball machine - a fun dose of early 90s nostalgia. And, once again, we can't say enough about what a welcoming, warm, and genuine conversationalist Ashlynn was. Her stellar service added to an already relaxing and fun atmosphere. If you live in or around the Cooperstown, NY area - or are visiting - I highly recommend stopping by Rookie's!!! We will...
Read moreI would rate it 0 stars if I could. When I first arrived I immediately ran to the go-karts. I was waiting in line for around 10 minutes. Then out of nowhere there comes a large group of very rude people, when the guy working there let us into the karts it was all hell. I was in the front of the line and all of those people literally were pushing all over me, the guy there witnessed all of this and didn’t say a peep to them but instead held me back and let them all through except me. I ended up walking away hoping that the food was at least decent. But it turned out that the woman there screwed up my order three times me ending up walking out of the “establishment” as if I had been robbed as I was basically denied access to the one open ride there that I had paid $30 dollars for not including the meal and the people in charge of food didn’t even give me part of my meal. So sad, I was actually...
