Karako Suits of Lynbrook — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

Me and my husband went in shopping for a few suits because we had a few upcoming events. Service was quick and we were pretty satisfied with the collection and the salesperson showed genuine interest with making sure we got what we needed and more. Up until time of pickup, I'm extremely dissatisfied with the alterations service I received for my husband's suits. I spent a significant amount of money on three high-quality suits, expecting top-notch tailoring to ensure a perfect fit. Unfortunately, the alterations were subpar, and I'm left feeling frustrated and disappointed. For the amount of money I spent, I expect much better quality and customer service.

The suit pants were supposed to be hemmed, but the length is still off, and the seams are uneven. The jacket sleeves were shortened, but now they're too short, and the shoulders are puckering. It's clear that the tailor lacked attention to detail and didn't take the time to ensure a proper fit.

We did bring up to the attention of the staff, they told us come back another day, which we did, they brought the suits out NOT PRESSED, full of threads and lint and while we were told they did not have a in house pressing machine, at least iron it all try to clean it before it’s brought in front of the customer. For the amount of money I spent, I expect much better quality.

First time shopping here off of a recommendation of a friend who shopped here in the past. My first time in, I felt like I was in a sleazy car dealership. Sales rep just kept pushing more expensive items, even after I outlined what I was looking for, then passive aggressively shamed me for not wanted to spend upward of $700. Even after I selected 2 suits, was basically forced to make extra alterations that I did not feel I needed, and was told, in no certain terms, that I didn't know what I was talking about when I declined certain alterations that were clearly superfluous based on the fit. If not for the fact that I needed the suits for work and my normal tailor is closed still, I would never have paid the absolutely overpriced tailor they have on site. I returned today to pick up the altered suits, and the second rep I worked with was polite for the short interaction we had, offering extras like shirts and ties (which I did not needs as i went elsewhere to buy them at a more reasonable price for better quality) but not in a pushy and obtrusive way, and the suits seem to have been at least tailored to the specifications measured for, hence the 2 stars as opposed to 1.
