I’ve given this salon so many chances as it’s close to my job and my home. The owner has always been super sweet to me and a few of the other girls as well. However I’ve had more than one unpleasant experience here and enough is enough. The first time I had a broken nail and came to get it fixed, the woman who fixed it kept insisting I change all my nails because she claims they didn’t have the color I had. Mind you the woman who originally did them just mixed a glitter with a black polish to get this color, which I told her. She rolls her eyes and proceeds to try to mix it, I tried helping because I saw she was annoyed so I simply told her just add one little drop of the glitter and she says to me with the nastiest attitude and look “do you wanna do it yourself?!?” I’ve never been spoken to with such disrespect as a paying customer. I’m not the type to complain or cause a scene so I let it go, let her finish, TIPPED , and left. Came back again the woman doing my pedicure accidentally rubbed the bone on the inner part of my foot with the nail file, it scraped the skin and I still have the ugliest darkest scar there from this incident and STILL NEVER COMPLAINED. Came back again a few times, the next time I showed them my inspo pick they told me they don’t have that color.. it was a light baby pink… a good nail tech would help me find something similar to what I wanted instead she just gave me an attitude and started painting with bubble bath without my approval. Again I stayed quite, paid, TIPPED, and left. Again I came back, the girl who did them was really nice actually but I noticed they don’t tell you wash your hands after filing and drilling, so there’s nail dust on her hands and mine while she’s polishing. This obviously leads to a bumpy nail job with little bubbles in the nail. I ignored it and left. I came back got a French the shape was awful and broke within a few days I came back didn’t even mention it just asked for a fill in. The girl was sweet but had the same issue with the nail dust. Didn’t realize how sloppy the job was until I left. There’s was bubbles in the chrome the shape was uneven and the gel was not filed down enough it looked bubbly and thick, and super sloppy with gel on the corners and a dent on the thumb. I actually came back and complained and instead of just getting someone to redo them she tried filing off the excess gel on the sides and when I showed her the dent and bubbles she said she didn’t see anything.. At this point I’m trying to be as nice as possible I get how irritating customer service jobs are so I said I just want them redone I’ll even pay ( mind you this set was 85$ plus tip that’s 95$ on nails I absolutely hate ) she told me to sit and wait. Another one comes up to me and tells me it’s too late since they’re closing soon can I come back. I agreed, and just simply left. No arguments no fighting. I went home and thought about it, as a customer that’s always been polite, never caused a scene, and I’m clearly unhappy, if I say I’m not happy with the service REDO IT ON THE SPOT. Don’t question me, don’t say you don’t see what I see, and don’t ask me to come back later. I’m a paying customer I deserve the results I expect, and if my expectations are not metthe service provider should do everything in their power to make it right, simple rules of being a business. I ended up filing them down on my own, sad to have to pay for my nails and then need to try to fix them on my own. I’m very particular with my nails I don’t like sloppy work and If I’m going to “professionals” I expect professional work. I never mention prices I never ask about pricing I’m always willing to pay whatever just to get the nails I want. As I was filing them down the gel on top was so thick my nails look like I did them at home. There’s maybe 1 or 2 amazing techs there, but as for the ones with the nasty attitudes that have an issue with every request, awful customer service. I had enough, will not...
Read moreExtremely disappointed and dissatisfied customer who has been going to Unails since they opened. Two months ago, I had called to make an appt and they honored that time I asked for which was great. Now when I get there and ask for the service I wanted (almond shaped nails) after laughing with her coworkers, they explained that my nails weren’t long enough. Ok great, let’s do square and get it done. I walked out with nails that we subpar. Cuticles still there and crusty. Now a month later, I go back. They have now grown long enough to shape them almond style and I was very happy to get that done. After my pedicure was finished, the woman proceeded to ask her boss a question. Now she explained that I would HAVE TO PAY TO SHAPE MY NAILS. There is no difference between a shape of square or almond that would validate the extra cost of that. If I had gotten tips then I would understand getting charged a certain amount because of the fact that their products have different products, but not shaping nails that are already on my hands. No added work for the worker, it just doesn’t make any sense. Too add to my frustration, the owner comes to reassure me and confirm that I would pay for the design I wanted. Which I find rude and disrespectful as I’ve been there before and have never been treated that way. So as I told the owner, I will not be coming back here and I hope you learn from this egregious act. I came to this salon because it was free from any prissy customers that live in the area and you had honest pricing. Now you have become another greedy salon just like the rest in the area. It is not your customer’s job to fulfill any outstanding debts/dues that you may have to pay as a business owner. Your point system is now changed to “only get points if you pay cash” “tips only through cash” “card 1.50 more”. Don’t be an owner of a business if you can’t pay your own bills. Sad change to the salon and I will be going across the street to Donna’s nails for the same services. They also offer $35 mani/pedi for anyone else that isn’t interested in getting ripped off...
Read moreThis Monday Feb 12 I was at U Nail Spa. Sadly to share the worse custormer service ever!!!! I asked Bella to give me water to soak my nails and she, very angry, stood up and started talking in her language, and all the Asian Ladies started laughing. which I thought was super rude. Then I don't know what happened and they told me to move my chair so Any could assist me further; Which seemed rude to me because i was already been helped by Bella. To put the cherry on the cake!!!!! When I was going to pay I gave them my credit card and they told me to pay in cash and get money from the ATM. I asked why I couldn't pay with cc but they couldn't explain it. However they had the machine that accepted credit cards. So I ended up paying my bank $5.00 just because they didn't want to accept cash. If they do not accept cards, they must remove the option that says I can pay by card. On this last visit I did not like the service at all...
