I was referred to William and his brother at WILLFIXIT by a coworker after I had mentioned that my niece was having issues with her MacBook Pro 14 laptop. She broke her screen accidentally and I accompanied her to the Apple Store since the computer is covered by AppleCare.

However the repairs could not be done because there was an issue with a secondary iCloud ID which was also in use on her computer and which the so called “Geek Squad” at the Apple Store wasn’t able to disable even with the password after I spent over two hours at the store at Baychester Mall in the Bronx.

Earlier today I visited with William at the WILLFIXIT store (180 Franklin Ave, Franklin Square) and he was able to diagnose and fix the problem in as little as 10-12 mins. He was able to fix a problem that Apple tech support wasn’t able to do over many hours (in-store and over the phone). With this fix by William, my niece will now be able to get her laptop screen repaired.

Thank goodness for this shop, Will is a life saver! Of course in the middle of my onboarding for a new job, my MacBook Pro screen cracks from a freak accident (the patio umbrella flew off in the wind and smashed my screen). Since the laptop was 2 years old it wasn’t not covered under Apple’s limited warranty but I didn’t care how much it cost, I needed it fixed ASAP. I contacted Apple Support and the earliest they could fit me in anywhere was a week from now. I begged and explained how important it was for me to get this laptop fixed as soon as possible but they told me there was nothing they could do, besides buy a new laptop. The screen replacement was about $1k anyway, the new laptop was about $2k. I told my sister and she told me to reach out to Will.
