Honestly hate to write this review because I hate conflict but I believe something should be said so here I go. I went to this temple for the first time today. Really beautiful architecture overall. Went to the main darshan hall and sat for a few minutes as its customary. I was asked by an uncle to step out for a few minutes as I saw a monk come in. I didn’t understand why but simply complied. Later the same person met me outside and apologetically informed me that swamiji does not go in the presence of women otherwise he has to fast, that is why I had to step out. As a practicing hindu I have to say this is very bizzare. This temple is not like Sabrimala where only men are allowed. Half of the population of this world is female. You are praying to the idol of Radha Krishna, Radha is female. Banishing females from your presence is definitely not the path to achieve self control and also it is unfair to women as they are being denied permission to be in the same space as you.
