EDIT: 8/18/2025
Residents can no longer walk in or out of the complex without some woman yelling over the new speaker system and threatening to call the cops immediately. This has happened to me twice now. I'm not showing you my I.D. just because management was too cheap to keep an actual security guard on duty during the night. I've loved here for 5 1/2 years, I'm walking in and out whenever I want.
EDIT: 5/30/2023:
Management or "management" has decided to enact a new rule saying no one can park by the clubhouse except for visitors and people using the clubhouse specifically between the hours of 9am-9pm. So now those parking spaces are effectively useless after 9pm and no one can park there, even though no one would be using the clubhouse overnight. Definitely seems to be the opposite of helpful and beneficial all around. I guess they didn't take into consideration that there aren't enough parking spaces in this cheap complex as is so they decided to remove more? I'm also wondering why they would prioritize visitors to use the clubhouse amenities over the residents who actually pay for the amenities? I will be looking into legal action over this one in particular. You guys just keep making really bad decisions for the poor people in this complex and I feel bad for them.
This place is an awful terrible place. It's been built so cheaply that the builder is actually being sued. And now, as of this morning, right now they're putting in ANOTHER speed bump, right in front of someone's parking space.....so now that person has to drive vertically on the speed bump to park their car..are you serious? Don't ever come here.
Edit: 10/19/2021. I forgot to write this the first time around but there was also an incident where someone put fish in the man-made pond and completely destroyed it. And instead of finding out who did it, management decided to charge each resident $50.00 to fix it. They actually literally took it out of peoples direct deposit. This is not in any of the residents bi-laws, contract or mortgage agreement. This is actually theft and I hope the residents here decide to file a suit against management.
EDIT: 11/8/21 My mom just received a notice that she may be foreclosed on over 50$ that she doesn't owe. They also tacked on legal fees totaling around 600$ for no reason. Again, all over 50$ that my mom does not owe. Management is a joke. I hope no one ever buys a "house" here. What a dump.
EDIT: 11/12/21 These people are actually trying to sue my mother over 50$ with the attorney that the residents themselves paid to hire...
Read moreWrote a review in 2017 and gave 5 stars. No longer. This place has become a disgrace. Hideous speed tables put in. Looks like a 5 year old painted them. Visitors can’t park in spots after 9 PM. Why? Do people living in a retirement community have guests after that time? Made to sign a waiver that if you were injured in the clubhouse or pool, due to negligence, the Club isn’t responsible. 1/2 of the pool lounge chairs were broken this summer as well as the pool not being useable due to chemical problems. What are our $500 HOA fees for. Snow removal is absolutely horrible. Had to miss work due to lack of shoveling until 7 PM, although snow had ended hours before. I once was able to shovel out since, again, no one came by. Ice melt was left in the hall and residents had to put the ice melt down themselves. Alarm system is consistently broken in main halls. Neither management or our “so called board” have little interest in helping with a problem. We have a lawyer on retainer - WHY? Was supposed to put guidelines into place for the huge Hartz Mountain facility being built directly across the street. It’s not only an eyesore and noisy, the street was blocked both ways several times when I was trying to get to work. I am on the 1st floor. I liked the easy access to my door rather than taking an elevator. Without my knowledge, my front walkway was completely changed. I now have a much longer walk to get to my entrance. What I thought was going to be a great place to lived has become just...
Read moreAppalled by the length of time my parents have waited for their unit to be ready. After being told they would likely be in by 10/15 they did their walk through today 8/29/16. They sold and vacated their home 7/15, and have been put off month after month by the Club, promising dates of completion that never came to fruition. In addition, the documentation provided over a year ago indicated a certain square footage for their unit. The unit we walked through today had some differences that may be seen as minor, but in a small space 75-100sq/ft is significant. In addition my father is handicapped and my mother used the model, that they had assured her was the exact same model as her unit, to measure for special order items. Those measurements did not match up today...significantly. There were several imperfections in the unit, that after all this time of waiting I would have thought they would have been more attentive to making this new construction pretty perfect. I think they are irresponsible and unethical in their dealings, leaving so many older people in the lurch, perhaps more than willing to accept a smaller unit, and a failure to meet contractual agreements, with little attention to detail in its completion, just to get settled into their almost 400K, 2 bedroom apartments. Shame on The Club...
