Can't say enough good things about our experience with Found & Fixed! We brought them a pair of oak dressers that had belonged to my fiancé since childhood—pieces definitely showing their age and therefore had been residing in storage. The team treated the project with care, respect, and a true passion for craftsmanship. Not only did they restore the charm of the wood by removing a yellowed finish, but they also gave the dressers a modern touch that perfectly matches our style. The grain of the oak is now beautifully highlighted, the lines are clean and elegant, and the finish is absolutely flawless. Found & Fixed Hudson Valley hosted a Kintsugi Repair Workshop, where everything was provided from white bowls to break, then Paint and finally piece back together. It was a good time as well as engaging with others in the community who want to learn repairing items to form something new. Justine found a great instructor and class to host. Note though this workshop was only 2 hours, so it uses a substitute glue material compared to traditional kintsugi material. I happened to walk by this business and saw absolutely beautifully restored furniture. Some modernized, some repurposed. Great vision. I knew I had to bring my parents 1950's well worn bedroom/desk set. I asked for a lot of help because I have no imagination for these things. Best decision ever!
