PS MOZA WILL NEVER COMMENT BACK TO THIS DETAILED REVIEW* The last 6 months of my life has been very confusing & difficult dealing with this law office. Coming from dealing with my accident attorney, this was a whole different experience. Meir and Omar (paral) were never transparent throughout this process, I will provide texts to prove my complaints. Omar hangs up the phone and is rude as well. So My case started in June. Court dates were Sept, 6 Oct. 19, Nov, 2. My case was non violent, 2-3 misdemeanor & one violation. Within the first week I gave Meir Moza $1000 and was told to sign a retainer before we could talk about anything. I’ve had many questions and concerns about the case after i paid but none of my questions were answered. Omar would tell me he would get back to me on it(Screenshots show). They told me to get a good guy package ready (character refrence letters) which i did and they would handle the rest. First court date comes and Omar sends a text the night before court with a letter to give to a court officer. The letter stated they were busy in Nassau County. I thought it was weird, but unknowingly i didn’t question it & I did as i was told and court was given a new date. Ahead of the new court date, Omar began begging for more money. He said he needed 1000-1500 before the next appearance. Mind you we agreed on a flat rate fee on 4500( They never appeared yet) and I could pay as the case went on. Second court date comes im unable to provide 1500, still willing to pay 4500 as we go on. They give me the same letter to give to a court office to get a new court date, stating they’re busy in Nassau County & they tell me to have 1500 by the next court date. I explain to Omar my expenses at the moment and the exact date, (One day before court date) I would have the money. Omar got upset and said they would be off the case and cannot represent me if I don’t have the money 2 days before the court date. (Screenshots will show this) & As he said they did not show up on the court date. They were not willing to wait one day before court to receive a payment I guess its a trust thing.( Although i did sign a retainer) I did have the money ready which i paid another attorney 2k, He showed up to court before I paid him anything. Omar lied that this case would have many court appearances snd would be tough to beat( Screenshots show). But all charges were dropped the same day! and I get my license back all within one day. They still have my $1000 and wont return it although they never showed to court nor answered one question for me. Basically met them one time and they’re favorite excuse is we are working with the DA. Begged for money and dropped off my case because they didn’t believe I’d have their money for them one day before court. Although it was not needed.Thank god I found a Lawyer the day of court to help me with...
Read moreI paid lots of money and confidence in Mr. Moza to help settle a civil complaint from the plaintiff. The agreed fee includes pleadings, discovery, and consult 3rd party to seek settlement. However, Mr. Moza didn’t exercise professional efforts in protecting the best interest of his client and stopped after filing the answer to the complaint. Below are his misconducts I observed. Extremely rude to his client: It’s extremely hard to contact Mr. Moza and his firm to get any updates of my case. Since I couldn’t get him on a call after the payment, I wrote email to see where we are regarding to the agreement, and what’s next step after the answer. His email had 164 words, but with 22 exclamation marks, which demonstrated his rudeness. He explained and advised that the best solution for me is to not “wake the sleeping plaintiff”.
Fail to pass along important discovery request from the plaintiff when seeking settlement: One year later (in 2021), the plaintiff "waked" and mailed a notice to Mr. Moza only to request to start the discovery step (covered in original agreement). Mr. Moza didn’t pass along such important request to me at that time or replied to the plaintiff. This no response led to a court deposition order consequently in September 2022.
Breach the contract: His firm refused to discuss this requested deposition (part of the discovery to seek settlement step, is supposed to be covered in original agreement). He explicitly requested us to pay more money to continue to represent us.
I wish he could hold his ethics...
Read moreOn Behalf of myself, my family and my friends I would like to say; Thank you. Sometimes ago I was falsely accused of hit and run accident that never happened. Thanks to Mr. Moza and his team, specially his wife Efrat Moza who is an excellent lawyer by herself, I was able to continue with my life, knowing that I’m in good caring and professional hands. Mr. Moza and his team worked on my case for nearly two years and did a tremendous job. At the end, I was acquitted of all charges and found Not Guilty. Mr. Moza is a first-class lawyer, his dedication perseverance, knowledge and expertise place him as one of Long Island’s best criminal lawyers. During the trial, he conducted the most professional cross examination I have ever seen, he didn’t leave a single stone unturned and proved beyond any doubt that it was a false claim and nothing more than a collaboration of lies for gaining insurance fraud claim. It was obvious that the DA and the police didn’t do their job right. Mr. Moza by the virtue and skills of his arguments and investigation, concluded and proved to the court; that the prosecution, the police, and the DA were all wrong. Watching Mr. Moza and his professional and articulated presentation in court reminded me one of these Hollywood trial movies. It was of course a stressful time for me, however, at the end; specially the closing argument, Mr. Moza’s thoughtful and elaborated argument combined with his professional performance, once again proved me that he is a class act and the right...
