I never would have put pen to paper had management called me back. For Easter I decided to try small business. I ordered 7 pound stuffed loin of pork. I only wanted flavored bread crumbs Romano cheese and a few raisins (which I supplied) I was told to cook meat at 350 degrees for 2 hours and 45 minutes and to use a thermometer and meat done when thermometer reads 160 degrees. First there was hardly any stuffing it wasn’t stuffed but sprinkled. And 1 hour and 30 minutes the thermometer read 160 and meat was done . Because we planned on a longer cooking time the entire meal was off and almost completely ruined. I paid a lot for meat and was also charged sir charge on credit card. I went smaller and local my first choice was Iavarrone who BTY are 5 star A andS 31/2 stars. Pricey $10.99 for ground meat in other butchers price generally $6-7.99 a pound . A pound and a half of chopped meat cost this senior $18.15 please . As a local business they should have taken my call and disappointment seriously. Moving forward it will be Primavera or...
Read moreHow much for one ring of thin sausage, and one box of biscotti? Take a guess... I'll tell you in a min, first: This place is a classic, it's been here for as long as I could remember, has it passed the test of time, yes for sure. The meats in the case all look so fresh and tempting. The store is fully stocked with lots of Italian specialities, like raviolis, pastas, cheese, cookies, and bread! The servers behind the counter were friendly, and helpful with my order. Oh yeah the price...$35, yep that's right, oh well. We got the sausage, it is stuffed with mostly pork cooked nicely with cheese and parsley, very tasty! No fat like you get at other "Italian" markets. The biscotti was exceptiyonal hard, a little dip in a hot cup of coffee is highly recommended. Next door is steverinos pizza, you can enter from a door inside A&S so please give both of these places a try, lmk...
Read moreWhat a wonderful store 💖 The food is phenomenal! They even have a very specific style of sausage, Chevalatta, that my 94y.o. dad used to get all the time from Corona. It's a specialty and they had it! We got sausage filled with broccoli rabe, regular ring sausage, multiple types of taralli, and ravioli. But what makes it completely worth driving across the county for me was the customer service! Kind, big smiles all around, just an absolutely delight to go there. I found them on a whim driving somewhere else. I'll definitely be going back and bringing my Dad so he can reminisce as well as get more amazing food! Thank you A&S for keeping it old school and bringing big smiles to this gal and her Dad ❣️ You're simply the best! Sincerely,...
