This place is of historical importance that relate to 1700 A.D. with the conglomeration of English, Native, French troops. It faces lake Ontario, Canada on otherside. History at it’s finest. We enjoyed several hours at this fort. We took the advice of the front desk attendant to watch the video prior to the self guided tour. It was great information and brought more life to the fort as we toured. We also had the opportunity to watch a musket demonstration and gain some insight on fighting techniques during the time the fort was active. The grounds are beautiful and the preservation of the buildings were meticulously restored as well as currently being restored when we were there.
