Really nice linear park. Connects to the Walkway Over the Hudson. Very enjoyable ride here with many benches to take a break and lots of information about the history of the trail. There is also a nice veterans mile with all the branches of the military represented.

Great trail that's part of the Empire state trail. I love this area as it's all paved and going through lots of woods. There's some bridges which mostly go over roads,some over water streams, and if you go north you can go over the HudsonRiver, it's all paved!

This is one of the best maintained trails that I have been on. I have been on trails in other parts of NY, MA, VA, DC, PA. Easy level walk, tranquil environment. Convent parking lots and public rest rooms. Picnic tables and benches are along the trail.

This is one of the best maintained trails that I have been on. I have been on trails in other parts of NY, MA, VA, DC, PA. Easy level walk, tranquil environment. Convent parking lots and public rest rooms. Picnic tables and benches are along the trail.

The Rail Trail is an amazing addition to the Hudson Valley. Miles of country (and 'city') walking and bike riding. From Dutchess County to Orange County. Bring your whole family including your furry ones. One addition it could use are trash cans for dog poop. I pick mine up and don't really want to carry it the whole time. I believe this leads people to leave the poop behind as I've seen many piles....

I always enjoy the walk and I love that people pick up their dog poo but hate that they leave the bag along the trail. Passed countless bags of all colors and unfortunately it was a very warm day and it was making parts of the walk very unpleasant. Idk what kind of budget you have but I suggest maybe put a few trash cans along the trail with a...

I have lived in Dutchess County my entire life the rail trail and bridge is one of the best things in this area I just started to use the trail for bike riding and it's great wish I would have done it sooner can't wait for the expansion in Highland I would recommend the rail trail to anyone that is capable...
