The Ruth Reynolds Glunt Nature Preserve is a nice hike that has scenic views of the Hudson River and Saugerties Lighthouse. The trail to the lighthouse is a half-mile long. Along the way you will be able to take in panoramic views of the Hudson River. The trail is relatively flat and follows a sandy beach-like path. There are many benches and rest spots along the way. Before using the path check the online Saugerties Lighthouse tide table to avoid tidal water on the path. There is a small souvenir stand at the beginning or end of the trail. I am not sure if the stand is there in every season, but it does have nice merchandise. The parking lot here has room for about 10 vehicles. Just go past the Coast Guard station and you will see it.
