The Ruth Reynolds Glunt Nature Preserve is a nice hike that has scenic views of the Hudson River and Saugerties Lighthouse. The trail to the lighthouse is a half-mile long. Along the way you will be able to take in panoramic views of the Hudson River. The trail is relatively flat and follows a sandy beach-like path. There are many benches and rest spots along the way. Before using the path check the online Saugerties Lighthouse tide table to avoid tidal water on the path. There is a small souvenir stand at the beginning or end of the trail. I am not sure if the stand is there in every season, but it does have nice merchandise. The parking lot here has room for about 10 vehicles. Just go past the Coast Guard station and you will see it. This short hike is very popular for good reason and best of all it is free. If you’re in the area make sure to see this beautiful trail...

Cool place to check out when visiting Catskill. It's an easy hike but certain areas has the black spikes so I was carrying my little fur baby. She describes it as a different way of life and you can experience it by booking accommodations through their B&B website. It just seems so cool, I may book a night or 2 next year just to get...

I highly recommend taking this walk to the Saugerties Lighthouse. Bring lunch and enjoy the beautiful picnic area. We even spotted a seal!

We took a chance and had our son in his stroller - We were successful, but it was admittedly a little challenging. We managed to get through a muddy spot and a few other obstacles. Using a carrier would be easier, especially since some spots are known to flood. I'll take my own...
