We visited this restaurant for dinner on a weeknight by boat and the outside dining area was mostly full with the inside tables vacant. We were immediately informed they were very busy and service would be slow and were given water. Twenty minutes later our drink order was was taken and about 25 minutes after that we got our drinks and the food order was taken. It took another 35 minutes to get our appetiser. (seafood macaroni and cheese) followed by our food another 20 minutes later, Caesar salad with Mahi and a grilled chicken sandwich. The food was very good although quite small in portion size. I had ordered another drink when the food came out, and did not receive it until finished with dinner and waiting for the check. Although I ordered the same drink it tasted quite different from the first. Overall a pretty poor dining experience. On the plus side, the food was good and the setting was very nice with a great view of the harbor. The waitress was pleasant but not very attentive. The excessive wait for food and drinks overshadowed the whole experience. I probably will not return for quite a while until I hear from other boaters that things have improved at...
Read moreWe had our wedding in June at the Saugerties Steamboat Co. location and it was everything we could have wanted. Brienne and Klaudia were fantastic to work with and were with us every step of the way, helping us to organize, plan and execute our wedding. The venue itself was was gorgeous and when some rain changed course right before our wedding, the Diamond Mills team was supremely efficient at getting everything and everyone moved inside for our ceremony (the team is seriously great at executing a rain plan). In addition, the culinary team at Blackbarn knocked our socks off, and were very accommodating with some of the requests we had to make for guests’ dietary restrictions. All-in-all, we’re so happy we got married here and will treasure those...

The building and land are beautiful, but the lot in which they have outdoor seating is uneven, so it gets swampy when it rains and the days following. If you plan to sit outside, wear flats or tennis shoes, heels will possibly get you a broken or sprained ankle. The heating and cooling system is minimal. It gets really hot indoors in the summer and once it starts to get chilly it is cold. The parking lot is gravel, which isn't a big deal, except for the fact that there is no lighting. So, again, your chances of getting a broken or sprained ankle are more than you'd like, once it gets dark. I saw an elderly woman eat **it, because of a pothole. Luckily she was ok, but rather...
