The pharmacy here is horrible. I've been using the pharmacy for 2 months now I'm getting my adderal scripts. Today I went to pick up my Am script because the doctor had increased that one. I was told I couldn't pick it up. I told them that I just wanted the am script. Not the p m script because I knew that wasn't ready for 2 more days. The pharmacist told me he was a temporary pharmacist. And because it wasn't his pharmacy he didn't feel comfortable giving me the script. They told me to come back in the morning and that the regular team of pharmacists would probably Fill the script for me. I told the pharmacist. I did not really understand why if it was actually a new script and a higher dose that the doctor wanted me to take in the a m why I would have to come back in the morning for that. The pharmacy just told me that because it was not his pharmacy. He did not feel comfortable giving me a higher dosage. I don't understand why the pharmacists could not reach out to my doctor to verify this information. And I don't understand why if I've been taking adderall. I've been slowly increasing my dosage, which they had been filling. Why this is suddenly an issue. If this had not been a controlled substance. I feel like I would have been giving my medication right away. I feel like I was treated like the common addict. Looking to get high off of my adderall. It's horrible to feel this way. It could have been handled so much differently. As a temporary pharmacist, if you didn't feel comfortable, you could have tried to get another pharmacist you could have called my doctor I mean this was ridiculous. I never got my medication. I have to go back in the morning. And I feel absolutely horrible, disgusted & shameful. Which I should not have to feel to just get medication. That actually helps me get through my day. I know this does not only happen to me. This happens to countless people that take ADHD medication and other control substances. Yes, there are people that abuse this medication, but it is not everyone and we should not have to feel like this. If a temporary pharmacist is at a location and they don't feel comfortable doing their job, get another pharmacist. I'm sorry you have one job. Do your job? I need my medication to help me get through the day. I'm not an addict trying to get high. disgusting. Do better walgreens! do...
Read moreI’m an Uber Eats delivery driver. Uber Eats not only provides food deliveries, but added the benefit of having stores such as Walgreens to deliver just about anything. Today I had to do a delivery from Walgreens to the recipient. When it comes to Walgreens or CVS, Uber Eats does these stores a favor by having the driver shop for the items and use a prepaid card to pay. So once again, we as drivers, are doing a favor to get the items instead of the staff doing it. I’ve done a couple deliveries for Walgreens and it’s always an issue. Today, as I approached the cashier (whether she cared or not) and said that these items are for a Uber Eats recipient. Whether she actually heard me or is just dumber than dirt, she then asks me “Do you have a Walgreens card?” To which I replied “I don’t think that I can, this is an Uber Eats order to be delivered.” To where the other employee next to this cashier pops her head out, with an attitude, says “NO”. To which I replied “I’m aware, I just said that these items aren’t mine, so I can’t use my card.” Then she proceeds to explain that the items are a “promise to pay” for the recipient. Sweetheart, I’ve been a driver for over a year. I know how it works. Maybe re-train your employee who chose to ignore the fact that I told her that this was an Uber Eats delivery. I will also advise to take some Midol, drink your coffee, and come back to work with a better attitude so you can refrain from disrespecting Uber drivers. We are doing...
Read moreThis Rx and all other Walgreens I've challenged has MANY problems down to the phone. First unless you don't call at 1 minute after opening, you will never get through and will end up in an endless queue. When picking up medications, they are the only consistent failure of DEA policies for picking up controlled substances and/or narcotics. The LAW, not guideline, LAW is when picking up a controlled substance in general you must, as the pharmacy, ask for the patient's doctor listed phone number for you as well as your address. You must provide a VALID NYS driver's license or a VALID state ID card and the pharmacy must have a system for scanning that into the prescription information before you can purchase it. They ask for the last 4 of you phone number and you address. All publicly available information and every Walgreens breaks this law. If you bring it up to the person who "helped" me today, his name is Ben so they told me behind the counter, he became defensive to the point of using profanities at me, as a long time EX-customer because he was so lost and his runny brain broke. I then went next door to the nice guys at CVS, every CVS around the country, and they were boggled at how they are getting away with dispensing against the mutual contract signed between the Walmart National Corporation and the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Every Walmart is rude, it's like the same people, different zip...
