I have a Technics turntable I purchased in 1978 that needed some help with the tonearm lifter. The first shop I brought it to had the turntable for a month and eventually said it would cost over $600 to fix AND they wouldn't do it. I had moved to CDs of course but I always intended to bring this unit back to life given my hundreds of cassette recordings. I recorded these with DBX encoding and octave equalizer settings.
