Last week I took my 4 yr old for a haircut after school. His hair had gotten long, so before school I styled his hair with gel to keep it out of his eyes. When I brought him in to get his hair cut with Frank, he started lecturing me on the use of gel, and used his comb to pull on my child's hair aggressively to break it up, rather than spray it with water to soften it up, or just take him to a sink to wash it out. He just remained irritated and kept going off about how I should never use gel, while forcefully combing through my son's hair while my kid repeatedly said "ow", and mid-lecture said "next time you won't be lucky and get someone as gentle-handed as me" (direct quote). Towards THE END he finally sprayed water and guess what? The gel softened up immediately and my kid said "thats better and doesn't hurt anymore". I usually take my kids to J. Leon in danbury, where Joffre, the owner, has ALWAYS been gentle and kind, and this was my first time using supercuts because there wasn't availability at my usual spot and my son was overdue for a haircut. My 4 yr old has been telling everyone he sees for a week now "i got a haircut and he was too rough and hurt my head." I will never go back, and when my friends ask for recommendations for their kids, will let them know to...
Read moreWe have used this business many times in the past and was very satisfied. Today at 3:00 pm, my husband went in for a quick haircut and the woman when she finally came out of a back room asked him what he wanted. He asked her if he could get a quick haircut and she told him that she was too busy. There was not a single person anywhere but her. She told him that she was way too busy and he would have to either make an appointment on line or try another day. As we were ready to leave, another man came in and she told him the same thing. It says walk-ins welcome and there was not another soul in sight. We and the gentleman behind my husband whose hair would maybe have taken 5- 10 minutes because it was very short already were very bewildered with her response. I guess walk-ins does not work, so maybe the sign needs...
Read moreTried to get a haircut (sunday) and the door sign said open with the inflatable guy still outside and the stand that said walk in welcome. I go in and they said they were closed. It was 10 min before closing and they didnt even ask what I needed. (Hair was already washed, just wanted a trim no drying) I made an appointment for Tuesday and a snow storm hit monday. By Tuesday the roads are clear and parking lots plowed..... I get here and they are CLOSED. The sign on the door just says closed monday for impending storm. Nothing about Tuesday. So here I am AGAIN hair washed and no haircut, no phone call, nothing. Shame in them for not even reaching out to people that made an appointment. I will have to find somewhere else to bring...
