Great place for the local community and visitors to spend time by the water. Enjoy just peaceful setting, sun and air bath, swim, kayaking, paddle. Hammandsport is great place to live especially if you have young children or at age to retire. Entertainment wise? Limited. Not only price wise for the rentals but limited for actual activities too. Have water equipment rental businesses are great but not a way promote physical activity, socializing and building healthy community with great relationships. Price wise rentals are high. Live music is great entertainment too. But what about live DJ and dance parties? Seems like many are missing something in between especially in organization of summer season to attract customers and have revenue to compensate quite wintertime. Tip as visitor, customers point: high price to cut a piece in 5 months sounds more like grinder. Keep lower price sounds more like establish relationships between businesses and customers, build LTR and name. But that is local Municipality mostly projects because they are the one in charge of public access to free entertainment including physical activity and sports: bikes, kayaks, dances too. P.S. Souvenirs? A lot but something that attracts anyone prepared poorly especially for the picky tourists and visitors these days. Stores are disorganized and merchandise hoarded instead have something unique that will be in place. Anyways, thanks to everyone for the great time, good customer service. Some of you get ideas for the next year by listening to customers opinion. Remember that any customer come first. Have a pleasant the rest...

Depot Park is a picturesque public space that embodies the charm and beauty of the Finger Lakes region. Nestled beside the southern tip of Keuka Lake, this quaint park offers visitors a tranquil setting to relax and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding them. With its scenic views of the lake, well-maintained green spaces, and convenient access to the water, Depot Park serves as a central hub for both relaxation and recreational activities in Hammondsport.

The park is a favorite spot for picnicking, with several benches and tables scattered throughout the area, providing perfect spots for families and friends to gather and enjoy a meal outdoors. The nearby boat launch allows for easy access to Keuka Lake, making it a popular starting point for boating, kayaking, and fishing adventures. Additionally, Depot Park often plays host to community events and festivals, further enhancing its role as a gathering place for the community. Lovely spot to enjoy public access to real lake edge swimming off a dock. I hate those artifical beaches, I want to use my mask and flippers and see natural bottom and fish! This area has life guards but they were chill.

The 4 foot deep bottom here drops off after 7 feet out, down to like 30 feet deep at the rope line. Roped area was generously sized for things like this. There is a very small beach in the corner for little kids where it is shallow. Lots of lovely fish and freshwater muscles on rocks, plus some seaweed after the dropoff but not so much it's gross (fun to swim through underwater). Water was clear and a great temp in mid August when we went.

Also a great view of the lake! Plus a...

A beautiful spot south of Keuka lake that is clean and well-maintained with ample parking. Definitely a must go if you are in the area. There are few good places to eat nearby as well. You should also find a few winery within 20 to 30 minutes drive radius. It is a nice spot to relax by the lake just taking in the view. Potential for some good photos. A few people were fishing when we visited so if you are into that contact the local visitor center.

One of the most relaxing places in the Finger Lakes. A great swimming spot with 2 lifeguards. A small Sandy area for babies and toddlers. We can sit here for hours while the kids swim. Bring your goggles! The water is clear, and there are lots of fish to see. And, of course the main business area of Hammondsport is a short 2 blocks away.
