Mersur — Attraction in Town of Urbana

This little resort town keeps getting better due to places just like this fantastic Boutique MERSUR. Fortunately for those of us who dabble in Hammondsport, MERSUR Founder | Designer Sarah breaks from her NYC design basecamp in the garment district to fling open the doors of her MERSUR outpost in the Hamlet of Hammondsport, a stone's throw to the Village Green and 2 block jaunt from Keuka Lake's shores. It's light, cheery, fantastic, and oh so stylish. The fabrics well-honed from resort spots of Italy, France and the like, crafted into fabulous resort-wear... plus! I fall in love with pieces every year and love to sport them on the lake and then in Miami in the winter. Sarah is a dream to be around, infectious positive energy the lifts your spirits and most likely the highlight of your day. I always find ways to pop in for a hello, a try on or some empowering philosophizing . A summer purchase of mine, channels a prior favorite Tahitian Cover Up.. now I love this Tangerine one (Italian fabric) even more. - see Pix. And this Fall these groovy stretchy ivory jeans with tiny little ladybugs all over them and a luscious candle.. MERSUR candle scents of citrus and rich leather somehow... long lasting...

Walk in this lovely boutique and you will be transported to a place where fun and style meld together with everyday living. The charming, vibrant proprietor treats you like a movie star, as she looks for something special in every client.

It seems like this would be a place for haughty rich people (and it probably is), but even the ordinary seems special here. You will leave feeling pampered and smelling amazing!

Please, please trust me on this and buy a bottle of the Mersur room spray or a candle. Once you get home the scent will instantly transport you to beautiful Central New York and this darling...

What a gorgeous store! I loved so many of the dresses, bathing suits, and accessories. I went to the store with a group of friends and we decided to have Sarah do a private color reading with our group. At first it sounded a little kooky for me, but OMG - it was INCREDIBLE!!!
