Verns Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Urbana

We've stopped by Vern's a few times when the hours indicated they were open & they weren't. Today they happened to be open; however, the service we received was extremely rude. Also, we tried to pay with a $20 & he said he didn't have change. Then he charged a 3% fee for using our credit card. We ordered a croissant but we were given a loaf of something & it was too hard to eat. We ended up leaving the food, a waste of money & time, & add the rude treatment to the entire poor experience. Definitely do not recommend. Go to Crooked Lake Ice Cream Parlor for breakfast! Excellent...

Little something for breakfast Mar 2025 • couples We had a weekend away in Hammondsport at The Park Inn (we highly recommend it, awesome stay) and on the way back home wanted a coffee and pastry. My Wife and her friends went to the area for a weekend and stopped by the bakery to WFH for a little while . The person at the counter disrespected her crew and said they should leave and not “loiter” even after they purchased items from the bakery… he also insisted and told them to go to a library which is where they left after they were publicly insulted in-front of other people at the bakery. Would give this place a -5 stars for customer service...
