Luca Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Town of Urbana

The restaurant is new, opened in early summer 2023. The atmosphere was wonderful and the wait staff excellent. My husband ordered the Linguine with Clams Marinara and he always has me try(taste test)…..the clams were huge, I mean so huge that it was not a pleasant experience. The clams were well steamed and served with Linguine and LOTS of garlic. I ordered the Orecchiette with cherry peppers, greens and garlic. The waitress came back from the kitchen I’m sad the Orecchiette was not available as it wasn’t delivered by the supplier… very disappointed and substituted with Linguine. His dish was good if you salt; way too much for my liking and serve with just the right amount of vegetables. We’ll be back to try...

Excellent food (and a lot of it - please come with a huge appetite) and I ate every bite of mine. Atmosphere was awesome - small, quaint, perfect for the little town of Hammondsport. I gave the service Five stars because the 'only' server Saturday evening (12/31/2023) literally handled the room by herself. Not one person in there sent back anything, complained about wait times, complained about her service - everyone there was taken care of. She did an absolutely wonderful job! One star because unfortunately we had a very bad time with the service. They got three of five food orders wrong, drink orders wrong, and just never brought one of the drinks. Awkward to ask for things to be corrected this many times. The waitress was nice but then left in the middle of the meal and the manager took over. She then said she was taking off 25% off the bill and then didn't do it at the end. Manager was very rude. In the end food tasted decent but weird experience with the staff and will not...
