Shadowland Stages — Attraction in Town of Wawarsing

My husband and I saw "Safe Home" on Thursday night. It was a spectacular play, allowing the audience to experience the future, the past and the present. It was emotionally compelling. Timothy Busfied's performance was genuinely engaging and the other actors gave truly splendid character interpretations, as well. Leyu Girma was amazing, to have presented so many characters, with so many lines, in a seamless performance. We were in the front row, and in this small 179-seat theater, we felt as if we were "right there" with the characters. Tom Hanks' story provided us with the opportunity to reflect on life stages, personal values and use of the limited lifespans we are given. I want to call out a fantastic experience at Shadowlands theater. It was Father’s Day weekend and I bought tickets for myself , son and his new wife. I unfortunately miss understood my seat selection and have auto immune issues picked a which is front wrong… Being uncomfortable with steps I said to attendant will leave no problem. We all understood my mistake.. she went upfront and a terrific young gentleman came as escorted us to the exact seat I and family were comfortable with.., thanks for making my Father’s Day special. Dec 15...Saw a well done, and poignant production of 'Winter Wonderettes'. This is such a compact and cozy old style theater, that there is, honestly, not a bad seat anywhere. We have attended several productions there, and have never been disappointed. It is easy to make it a full evening, with a choice of very convenient restaurants nearby.
