The store manager made an offer to settle my unit for $400 rather than pay the full $929 bill. No one was in the office when I went to make this payment only days later. Then when I was able to get ahold of the store manager, they told me the district manager (who apparently told her to offer me the settlement in the first place) would not settle with me because my balance was so high. I was forced to strip a $4,000 600 MCM copper wire for $666.98 to float the bill and ofc had to stay up all night the night before my unit would be auctioned to cut it up. Rushing to be able to pay my bill before 10am when it would have been auctioned. The stress and financial burden is only compounded by forcing my hand to hire an attorney to make me whole. And thatâs exactly what I will do. I believe the store managers to have a vendetta against me for a history of late payments. That is our prerogative as renters. I was also given a notice to vacate after politely expressing my preference to stay renting my unit. They claim Iâve violated their terms with no explanation or proof of said violation. It is my opinion that the store manager who made it known 50+ times in 10 mins that she was âbrokeâ may have had some jealousy in the fact that I have a Maserati parked in the unit. Itâs sick the way these people have treated me. I have ample documentation and recordings to back up my claims. Iâm a 27 year old self made multimillionaire from one of the worst neighborhoods in this state. I wouldnât taint my reputation throwing dirt on a company that did not entirely wrong me....
Read moreWe used extra space for about 9 months. The staff at this location are absolutely amazing and super nice! The climate control unit was exactly what we needed and a good size. The reason we had to move to a different facility though was the price increases. We started there paying $131/month but within 3 or 4 months, we got hit with a price increase to almost $230. The staff was amazing with getting it lowered to $183. I did not think these units were really worth that, especially without 24/7 access but it was doable. Now only a few months later, the price automatically increased to over $260, which a 10x15 unit, even climate controlled, is definitely not worth that. We found another option in Webster for a bigger unit, 24/7 access, with a light in unit that is only $130/month, 3 month warning before price increases, and moved there. Other than the absurd rates, the units are kept nice, the property is very clean, and if you have any issues there are great office hours with friendly staff...
Read moreI had my life (furniture I loved, as well as many collections and more) in Uncle Bob's Storage, now Lifetime Storage, for four years. I was so impressed with how Linda Perkins, manager of #341, was out of the park dedicated to her clients. She is the kindest, most considerate manager I have ever known. She and her staff were always there for me. I felt like I was Linda's only customer every time I called her with a question. I regret leaving space 250, however I am back in a place that enables me to have my storage things back. I would highly, highly recommend Life Storage to anyone in need of getting a space to put anything. The whole area is always very clean & well lit. I felt safe going to my storage area, night or day. My genuine thanks to Linda Perkins and Roy at store 341! Sincerely, Elizabeth Coughlin. P.S. I would gladly do a commercial to help educate others on what a great storage business Lifetime...
