I ordered the Hunter tapestry vests for my wedding which, as you can see from the pictures, is a green vest with a darker green tapestry print. what I received looked nothing like this, as it was a shiny gold with green tapestry print. When I called about this discrepancy, I was told that this was due to slight differences in computer images!?!?!? As you can see, this is nowhere near the same color as pictured on the website. I have since returned all 4 vests (since there is no exchange policy) and must wait 10 business days for a refund. I was told (by the same customer service representative) that there is only one person processing returns, and they are being done in the order they were received. How many refunds do they get? I'm guessing quite a few based on my experience. If I get the refund, I will be using the money elsewhere to get vests - hopefully in time for the wedding in about 5 weeks! I am very unhappy with the blatant product misrepresentation and the ridiculous wait for a refund. If my refund does not come through in a timely manner, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
*EDIT: I received a call from the customer service manager, Christian, almost immediately after posting this review. He apologized profusely for the discrepancy and stated they were working to get more accurate photos of the items on their website. He also contacted the warehouse and they were able to locate my returned items, after which he expedited the refund. I appreciate him taking the time to do that. Read moreUpon first glance it may appear that this is a great company with quality tuxedos and a good option for any formal event. However, my experience, and those of my groomsmen have been one of the worst I've ever dealt with. Though the quality of the garments are okay, they're far from great. That was okay with me though since the pricing was more affordable than other places (the only reason I gave two stars rather than one). The real issue we've had is with the terrible/lack of customer service. As with any online retailer, sizing may often be an issue; however keep in mind returns are NOT free and despite paying for the return shipping (which we were okay with) it took over two months for two of my groomsmen to receive their refunds, even after they had RE-purchased the correct size. Not only that, but I have still yet to receive a refund on an order I returned early April (yes, 3 months ago). Don't bother trying to call them, because there will be no one to answer to phone. Even if you send an email you will get zero response, they will ignore you like you never even existed. At this point it's not even about the money, but the fact that this is probably the worst customer experience i've ever had. Feel free to take your chances, but you've been warned... IMHO stay away!
Edit: After speaking with Christian over the phone, it appears this situation may have been an anomaly due to an overly busy season. He was extremely professional over the phone and was able to resolve the issue I was having. Customer service is great once you are able to get a hold of them. (Late 70’s) But thanks to the internet, I found Buy4Less Tuxedo and all my problems finding the right bow ties, cummerbunds, jewelry, tux shirts and the tuxedo itself disappeared. Great service, great prices and great selection. The Cardis have taken great care of me when it comes to wearing beautiful tuxedos to the Symphony or to church (yes I do wear a tux to church and often get asked why). I’m also proud to wear the Cardi name on my tux shirts and bow ties/cummerbunds. With a wider color selection it’s easy for me to dress for any occasion and event. I will say that since I discovered custom tuxedos now my purchases are mostly accessories but they’re still very necessary to complete my formal dress and Buy4Less still makes it easier to get new shirts and everything else necessary to make myself very well dressed. And in many cases I truly am a well dressed man who would rather wear a tuxedo over a suit any day, even if it’s a bit too much for others. Thanks again for making me a very sharp dressed guy!
