1st Review- Overall it was a good experience. Most importantly our 5 year old daughter had a blast ď
I arrived 30 minutes prior to the party to decorate w/our themed decorations. There was a staff member (Reese) there who was extremely helpful through the whole party. He helped decorate and chase down the children... lol
The only one complaint I have is that we ran out of time in the party room fairly quickly⌠Unlike most place the children that were attending the party were also mixed in with random children which made it a little time consuming to gather them up for pizza, then cake. By the time we knew it, our time in the party room was up. That slightly stressed me out & it didnât help that another staff member kept walking by looking at his watchâŚ
We did go over our time, however the staff person that was assisting us managed to speak to the manger since we spent more time than expected decorating and the additional fees were not added, otherwise they charge in 15 minute incrementsâŚ
I would recommend this place for a party, but if we do it again here it may be at their Milford location where they have a separate party room.
2nd Review- Iâm honestly shocked of the horrible experience people encounter here⌠Our 4 year old daughter loves it! In fact at one point they relocated and she was so sad because she thought they were gone for good :-( Iâm constantly up and down w/my children and I know the cost of things. I actually think itâs fairly priced. Itâs clean and supervised by the staff. Unfortunately a lot of the parents are glued to their cell phones instead of watching their child, but this happens everywhere⌠I do not have a problem bringing it to anyoneâs attention. Iâve actually witness a child not being able to play after a staff member brought to their parents attention that he was hitting another child. If you canât obey by the rules go elsewhere⌠No real complaints, I just wish it was slightly bigger like their 1st location. I would totally rather pay for my daughter to play here then get trampled over in the play center by the food...
Read moreMy son, who just turned 3 been using this place for a while now, he comes out from home, and says âwant to go to the âBall-Placeâ (thatâs what he calls it)â. They have good activities for him to run around and play and interact with other kids around own age(+|- 5). It is true but that the new place (former Borders Book Store, for those of us who been around long enough and are familiar with Trumbull Mall, now and before) is smaller than the former (across the hallway, where âOnce upon a timeâ the Disney Store Used to be), but there is still room enough for group of kids to run around and play while the parents can sit and watch them. Security wise, itâs an improvement. There is only one entrance and itâs blocked by a gate, contra wide open access. And that offers a security for the children within. Earlier, while my son was playing around, he had a need for his âBaby Bagâ (call of Nature) and my sister had to bring it from her car. When she got to the gate the staff person wouldnât let her just walk in till I had confirmed that she was of our party. And that is something that I as a parent to a toddler really appreciate. Strangers canât just walk in, and whatâs better, the kids canât just walk out on their own into the mall and get lost (or worse). Waiver and all aside, itâs still the parent or guardian who is responsible for watching their kids, but still, that is...
Read moreWhile our 17 mo and 6 yr old grands did enjoy running around in both play area/ball pit equipment, the condition of some of the equipment in both areas, and lack of even one or two "kitchen" items like a plate or a pot - plastic nor metal - or chair for the little house, was extremely unimpressive. The stairs into the toddler ball pit were not secured under the opening, which could be a significant fall risk. I'm sure they want to be able to move it when they clean, but it should be anchored otherwise. The narrow entry steps into the large ball pit have a step that bowed when stepped on and both those and the exit stairs appeared to move without being anchored or they were loose. The worst part, however, was the barely effective in room air conditioners. That is apparently an issue the Mall management should be addressing. The staff was fairly pleasant, if not very aware of the customers after they entered. The charge card unit also 'just stopped ' processing cards when we arrived and fortunately I had cash. I liked the concept but the reality was...
