Bubbleholic — Restaurant in Trumbull

My wife and I have been to this establishment before. We love the drinks (primarily the slushies) and i drove out to get one before they close at 8PM. I arrived at the mall at 7:45PM and then got to the counter around 7:48PM to find out they had already closed.

A young man noticed me and said they are closed and i said i thought they closed at 8PM. He said they do but they close 15 minutes early to clean up.

I understand having to clean up however then please change your hours of operation to say 7:45PM that you close. This will allow me to know i shoul not drive to your location as you are closing. It was disappointing to arrive during busiess hours and be turned away.

In addition i also drove 15 minutes to get to your location and with gas prices it was truly a wasted trip.

The store has really cute models and layout from the streets of Hong Kong (HK). It also has cool decorations. As a HK native myself, I was surprised to find a bubble tea shop has such decorations in Connecticut.

The staff was nice and took my orders no problem.

The 3 stars rating is from the drinks that me and my partner had. We got black milk tea and Thai tea. I was expecting more from the black milk tea since milk tea is one of the signature drinks of HK. The bubbles were also over cooked, not sweet. The Thai tea is pretty mediocre, leaning towards the not great side.

With that said, I would go again just to try other drinks. They do have a Hong Kong coffee drink.

Then again, maybe I am looking too much into a small bubble tea shop from the mall...

Bubbleholic is a lovely place to stop by for refreshing bubble tea & snacks while shopping at the mall. It's such a cozy space with colorful HK-style decorations and a couple of tables for seating (which I definitely needed after walking around the shops for hours)! The lady who took my order was super friendly and gave me some helpful suggestions when I was debating on which drink to try. I ended up getting the mango green tea and egg waffles, which were the perfect pick-me-up. I would recommend coming to Bubbleholic if you're in the mall or...
