Five Below — Attraction in Trussville

Please beware, don't use paper money in the self checkout machine. It won't give you any change back and keeps your money on top of that. It's no use in calling anyone when they won't help.

I put a $50 bill and $0.75 cents into the one of the self checkout machine. When I called the assistant manager over, she told me that it was nothing she could do about the situation until the store manager came over this morning to further assist and look at the footage herself. The only thing I had gotten back last night was $0.75 cents but not my $50 dollar bill that I know for a fact I put into the machine.

I had came back right when the store open and was told the same information that I got last night, called the police and they wasn't much help. I already contacted corporate about it and am currently waiting to hear back from them. Now, it's on the Better Business Bureau because what they did was unethical and wrong.

I highly do not recommend going to this store if you want good customer service. A friend brought in a return that was purchased online and as she presented the receipt the manager would not accept it (even though it stated that was her form of a receipt and could present it in store for a cash return). The manager refused. She tried sending her to another location and said “‘maybe they’ll give you cash back” but why couldn’t she when it was an option on the register. We have done several returns from an online purchase and was able to get my money back besides having it go back onto a store gift card. Also, while checking out the sales associate was talking on the phone goofing off while I checked myself out on self checkout. Very bad reputation for that five and below. We will be going to any other location from now on that knows how to give quality...

I walked in and an employee standing at the front looked at me and started laughing and asking what i was doing (weird) so to be nice i just commented on the hot weather and she said I must like being hot because I come in all the time (not true) and she wouldn't be out if it were her. I don't know if this person thinks I'm someone else or she thinks coming in a few times over a couple of months is a lot. I was just going to browse the keychains and bag charms that I collect but now I don't want to go in again. I work retail and yes it is hot and I wonder sometimes why people are out in the heat but I would never say something like that to a customer. Also they seem to struggle keeping bags at the self checkout area. I won't be going again , don't need to feel uncomfortable while...
