We were so 😞 disappointed when we got there. Our major meeting place was gone. It was ideal for gem & rock enthusiasts. They had gem & rock vendors working and staying there. They had good food and beverages, public restrooms and a hub for the free transportation to other sites.
There were No signs at the beginning of the street instructing us what was available and how to find the events.
There was inadequate signage telling you to go West and park the car in the huge gravel lot that had shuttle carts going to the tents to sign in and get our badges.
We hadn't been to the show since 11 years ago. And had "sticker shock" when we went into the tent. But after looking a while we found some things that were 70% off retail. They were good quality and had great prices. So we bought several things. (See the pictures of some of our purchases.)
We were looking for a certain delicate pearl necklace and left without one. We were So I'm going to re-string the old one that broke.
After our shopping we were hungry and thirsty. We found a wing restaurant and ordered. It took us about an hour to get our food and drink. We left unhappy and hungry. The wings were cold and dry. Like they had been reheated. The manager comped the wings. We paid for our drinks.
It would have been easier if we knew the streets. But we are going back next year for another huge Gem...
