Georges DeMeester Performance Center — Attraction in Tucson

The summer music series under the Stars is a beautiful way to spend a Sunday night. If you show up early enough and it's still light out There is a pretty fantastic playground to the side of the band show where even older kids can kick it and have a good time. It even has some of those cool makeshift instruments that sound better than you'd expect when played with! The atmosphere of the whole park/complex is lovely, the musicians are talented, and the music choices tend to be fun and unique. My only complaint is that it seems as though the shows are very short. The theater was beautiful and awesome itself BUT the representation Julie was absolutely terrible, very disrespectful, very bashful and threatening to shut our event down every time she was upset.

I love this place but if there was another representative that was more kind, understanding and didn't tell you to stop talking because she is frustrated with her job than it would be way better!

I don't recommend anyone to use this place unless Julie is NOT your representative.

Anybody that grew up here knows what the bandshell has meant to the public. It is a little getaway in the middle of town and the park. I have seen many performances there over the years and I hope that the city continues to fund activities and live music there especially in the heat of the summer when only the locals are left to suffer...
