Love this park. I've lived next to this park for about three fourths of my life and i never get bored of hanging out there. Its not a huge park but its a good size. There are maybe 5 or 6 fields you can play soccer and baseball in. A few of the fields have bases and dug outs and the grass is well taken care of. There are plenty of public restrooms and water fountains. Its right next to a dairy queen and who doesn't love their ice cream am i right? There are two play grounds with fun equipment to climb on, swing, and slide down. The only reason for 4 stars is because there is always huge pot holes all over the parking lot.... Like... Where the hell are our taxes going? There is a community pool which is very fairly priced with a kiddie pool, a reg pool and a pool with a couple diving boards. Its set back in a quiet neighborhood and is nextdoor to harold steele elementary school so be careful if you come around 2 or 3pm on a weekday when school is in session because there are so many kids in crosswalks and the traffic is horrible. There are plenty of mature trees for shade and its a great place to walk your dog. There is no dog park but you can walk your dog in the park with its leash on of course. Parking isn't usually a problem unless the football or soccer teams...
Read moreThis is a great park for baseball or soft ball. It has two locations for kids to play at with the ground covered in woodchips. The wood chips remind me of my youth. I personally label one a big kid side and the other for younger children. The one I say are for "big kids" has about 4 slides with each one getting higher. It has a mini rock climbing area for kids as well as a "stepping stone" staircase. Unfortunately it has quite a few pot holes that got worse after the rain. Other than that its a great little park to take your kids, train at ball, or even take a few laps at. Will upload...
Read moreThere are two separate play equipment areas; one for 2-5 year olds and the other for 5-12 year olds. There are also swings (two baby/toddler swings and two standard), a basketball court, lots of benches and concrete picnic tables, multiple drinking fountains located near play equipment areas, baseball fields, and a pool that is open during the summer. I highly recommend this park as a great place to run around with kids. There were also people walking dogs (thankfully on leash). A...
