I love the passion of this church. I really appreciate how the pastor isn’t afraid to bring up real-life situations, like Charlie Kirk or the girl who died on the train. The people are very friendly, and I love that you don’t have to pay for coffee—it’s a small thing, but it says a lot. Everyone tends to dislike big churches, but we forget heaven will be big too.
That being said, here are a few things I think could be improved:
Areas for Improvement
Small Groups – Right now, most groups seem to be geared toward either 50+ or college students. It would be great to have more options in between, especially for singles. It’s tough to meet people unless you want to wake up at 2am to go running (which isn’t really my thing). Something that helps people connect outside those two groups would make a huge difference.
Worship – The music is good, but worship and praise tend to blend together, and sometimes I can’t tell when the transition happens. The songs they pick feel very specific to this church—songs people don’t really know. (unknown bethel and hillsong songs) It would help to mix in more familiar ones from. Also, please don’t cut worship short for announcements—it’s hard to stay in the spirit of worship when it gets interrupted.
Sermons – The messages are solid, but they feel geared more toward new believers. I’d love to hear deeper sermons that really make you think—ones that connect the Old Testament and New Testament and show how they apply to our lives today.
The Good
The music really does sound great. On the sides it leans toward the monitors, but that’s hard to control with acoustics. Overall, it’s very strong.
The screens are clear, and having the lyrics up top is a huge plus.
The worship team seems genuine—they’re actually worshipping, not just performing. That matters a lot to me.
The pastors clearly love the church and God, and they preach from the Bible. A lot of big churches just focus on making you feel good, but here there’s substance.
Everyone I’ve met has been very friendly.
I do appreciate that there are small groups—it shows intentionality.
And yes, free coffee matters! It shows the church isn’t trying to nickel-and-dime people. Some churches feel like Starbucks charging $7, and you never know where that money goes. Here, it feels more like the resources are going toward missions and meaningful work, not the pastor’s mansion.
Overall This is a good church with good people. It feels geared more toward new believers, but it’s refreshing to see so many people gathered together...
Read moreI began attending here in November of 2018 and have not gone anywhere else since then! This church is honestly and truly home to me. I love the worship time and that I can truly feel the presence of Jesus in this place. I also love that there are so many service times available to work with our schedules. On the rare occasions when I have been under the weather, I am so thankful that there is the option to watch it online and I don't have to completely miss church. I also enjoy grabbing something from the cafe in the morning, and the chai tea latte and the frozen caramel mocha are my two favorites. I honestly could not imagine attending church...
