This is a fun place to go for the kiddos, but only if you bring your own shade and non-slip shoes. The trees they just planted a couple years ago aren't very big and offer very little shading. There's a beautiful design in the cement, but its very slippery when it's wet. Not very safe for the little ones that love to run around! Other than that, I recommend bringing a nice, big outside blanket, lots of drinking water (the splash pad water is chlorinated) and a huge umbrella. Or going sometime in the late evening around 7:30pm-8pm when the sun is behind the...

The new downtown commons is very nice and open, with lots of space. Very attractive with nice sculptures. We were there on a Sunday, and unfortunately not many...
