Really cool coffee spot with a laid back vibe. Stopped in the AM on our way to northern Idaho for a bite and for some local brew. The set up was pretty cool with the espresso making upfront and the select coffee grounds of the day out to note. The food menu had some interesting takes and wasn't boring at all. Never had a fresh properly made Crepe before let alone stuffed with Ham and Cheese. Definitely get the crepes. My wife had a great potato pulled pork breakfast bowl, I recommend both. My Pour over was enjoyable, the coffee was done really well and I could taste all the notes of that roast. Knocked a star for service, thin young dude with dark brownish hair, forgot name, just wasn't at all helpful and seemed out of it that morning. Maybe he didn't have his cup of Joe, idk but it's a total vibe killer. My wife was simply undecided on two or three food items and his body language just expressed 'hurry it up let's move on, I have better things to do' sense of attitude. There was no help or personal interaction in decision making just a feeling of pressure. We weren't standing there for a long time neither was it even busy. Aside from him, the barista gal making our drink was cheerful, the cooks and servers were grinding hard with all the food orders so 👍 to them. Wish I had the dudes name for y'all to give side talk too. Not trying to burn a spotlight on people but I got to speak up, I hate spending money/giving money to a place whose employees don't seem to give a hoot for themselves or the company. Hopefully he'll have better days going forward. All in all, I do recommend this shop for a great brew and breakfast. Next time we're in TF we'll...

I love supporting local businesses and have eaten at this place numerous times but due to travel hadn't eaten their for a while. My party (3 people) had breakfast coffee and food which was good. When I got my bill I looked and saw a category call "service charge." I was curious and inquired about it.

On my bill of $70 I had put $85 in the bill tray not realizing at the time what the service charge category was. It was explained to me its the automatic 18% tip. First off, don't be deceptive and instead of "service charge" use the word gratuity/tip 18% that will allow for no ambiguity. Also, its incumbent upon you as a business to let your customers know, as you are taking their order, they will be automatically charged an additional 18% on their order as an automatic tip.

I was told after inquiring, "we have a small sign at the register." Since most people sit down, are served at the table and brought the bill you will not ever see the sign. It was then told it was a practice instituted during covid to keep people working.

Simple, raise your prices more, pay your staff to keep them and don't force your customers to subsidize your staffs pay. I have no problem with tipping, but trying to slide in a "service charge" is very deceptive practice that makes customers feel deceived and cheated for not being able to make an informed decision if they accept...

The staff is very sweet and friendly. Good looking women and friendly Bros. However, this is also a place that is trying to be a culinary quizine. You know the fancy restaurants where you get a tiny amount of food fixed really pretty on a big white plate that cost triple what it should. That's what we have here. A foo foo fancy yuppy coffee/breakfast culinary quizine that prides itself as a 5 star joint, but they only get three stars from me because of the reduculous prices. I don't care how fancy you think you are or how proud you are of your restaurant, if your prices are a statement of your pride then I will probably only be there on celebratory occasions. I won't be a regular. The prices to the community it is in is way off set. This is something I would expect in Ketchum. It's fancy and good with nice people, but unless it's a friend or family birthday or rewarding myself I won't go. Too expensive for the amount of food you get. No free refill on regular coffee. They really are kinda greedy. I'm not trying to totally dog the place though...

The drinks don't come as automatically sweet as Starbucks, so know that when ordering. I tried two of the five options for hot cocoa and they were delicious. The thing I ordered that brought me back the next day was the Razzleberry Crepe. I feel like crepes are overrated at most place, but this crepe was SO delicious without being overly sweet. And it wasn't just lucky, it was delicious the next day too. If I hadn't had to fly out of town I would've continued to take data on later days. I also tried the Crepes Benedict as a savory option and it's equally wonderful in a totally different way. If you get a Mexican hot cocoa, a Razzleberry, and a Crepes Benedict at once, it will be the best meal of your week, and maybe month. If you bring your laptop and sit in the upper loft while eating it, you may never leave. I feel really lucky that I happened across this place while passing through. On my next visit to Twin Falls that meal will be one of my first stops. ONE YEAR LATER UPDATE: Razzleberry still delicious.

I decided to try out coffee shop because of the great reviews...see if it gave Java a run for it's money. The drip coffee was very weak. They offer a refill of your 8 ounce cup, but it was so bad that I didn't get a refill. I also ordered a strawberry nutella crepe. The strawberries were very fresh and the crepe was presented very well, however there was basically no nutella on the crepe. I was pretty disappointed given that the drip coffee, the crepe, and a tip was $11. The florescent lighting doesn't give a great ambiance, but I do really like how they kept the Crowley's Soda Fountain sign. All in all, I think I will stick with Java on Blue Lakes in the future.

This place serves proper coffee. I had a flat white and a savory bagel. Both were pretty good. The flat white had an espresso properly pulled and the milk properly steamed. The beans were very good too, not bitter and had a nutty taste. The bagel was the highlight for me. It was baked in-house and it was very fresh and delicious. Of all the coffee shops we passed during our road trip from San Francisco, this place was the only coffee shop to serve a proper espresso drink. They even offer proper pour over using a Chemex dripper.
