Terrible customer service. I bought groceries and accidentally left behind a pricey drink I bought at the cash register lane. I came in again later that day with my receipt (which shows the date and time) but the cashier who checked me out in the second aisle was no longer there. I talked to another cashier who was working at the time for help and explained my situation. I showed her my receipt and the specific item I left behind. The cashier not only refused to help me, she was also very degrading. It was clear that she did not believe me and treated me like I was asking to take something that wasn’t mine. When I asked her to refer me to someone in management, she ignored me. Luckily, the manager was eventually able to help me in the end. We watched the security footage and it showed exactly how I described the situation to the cashier so he let me go with the item. I have no problems with the manager- he was pretty nice and understanding. I solely have a problem with the cashier and how she treated me. I really don’t know why it was so difficult for her to consider I was speaking the truth but when you hold certain assumptions about people, it’s hard to look beyond your narrow mindset. Anyways, the overall selection of asian produce at olive supermarket isn’t bad at all. It’s just unfortunate that this interaction had to sour my experience with...
Read moreThis place was a downright horror show. I don't know how health inspections work around here, but they've clearly gone through some sort of loophole to maintain the place in this state. Good grief. The meat was gray and the entire meat area smelled and looked horrible. A few packs were even left open and leaking juices over the other items in the refrigerated meat section. Then there was the fish. The stench was horrific, it was beyond the usual fishy smell- it was rotten. It literally smelled of rotting decomposing fish so badly i could barely walk to the back. When I did I was greeted by several dead fish floating around in the murky brown water of the "Live seafood" tanks. I took a look at the "fresh seafood" presented on ice and was further disappointed to find the eyes covered with some sort of filmy substance (I want to see glassy clear eyes on fresh fish). The fish was clearly past its prime even in the "fresh" section. The staff looked at me but never once offered to help of ask if I needed assistance, even when I was in front of the seafood counter. I left without buying a thing, fearing for the food safety given the horrendously unsanitary atmosphere. I normally never write negative reviews, but this place was an absolute disgrace. I hope they clean up their act before...
