One of my favorite places in Champaign that I've been to quite a few times, especially on Sundays for their $1 sushi menu. A couple of times, we had gone in winter, and some of their dishes when it's chilly outside like - Miso Soup, Steamed Edamame. I have mostly ordered the same food over and over again, so there's only a corner of the menu that I've tried. Steamed Edamame - steamed and salted perfectly, especially on chillier days and when you have the time to sit and chat while you enjoy them. Sushi - I enjoy the Coconut Shrimp & Mango sushi, and always keep one for after the meal, as dessert. Their $1 Sushi menu on Sundays, lets you have a couple of sushi rolls, of different varieties without having you commit to a plate. Vegetable Dumplings - quite crispy with a hot filling of vegetables and tofu. Miso Soup - this traditional soup from Japan had a toasty sweet-salty flavor, with soft spongy tofu chunks, and Sweet & Spicy Korean Chicken Wings, served with a side of Asian Coleslaw - The crispiness of the fried chicken is unbelievably ideal even though it is drenched in a sweet and spicy sauce. I always order with a side of white steamed rice, since it's technically a starter and I always try to make a meal of it. The Asian Coleslaw is superb and I've been craving it so much, that I have been recreating it at home. But they are always really nice about getting me seconds of the coleslaw. Pork Belly Ramen - A piping hot bowl of soup filled with all sorts of vegetables and Ramen noodles, topped with a brick of pork belly, that we always end up taking home in a doggy bag. I would definitely recommend this place, as it's quite an experience. Even during Covid, they had LITERAL bubbles for the tables with heaters, so that everyone can practice safe social distancing.

Went on the 6th of February 2023 and 23 October 2022. Really solid place and food is good. Definitely more expensive than cooking at home but still well within the budget of a broke college student price range for one person is between $10 and $22 ish. You’re definitely not gonna be full with the sushi unless you get the dollar sushi. The ability to mix the dollar sushi and try everything was pretty nice too The edamame was also pretty authentic (cold, seasoned with just salt) and they sell ramune too. (Though with sides things begin to get a little expensive). Pretty close to main quad, food is good. Interior is just alright and just looks normal and clean. The music sort of jumps from genre to genre theres not really a solid vibe at the place TL;DR Good food at a good price but ambiance is lacking and has a menu that’s on the small side (other than its sushi , sushi has tons of variations) they work with dietary restrictions too

My husband went and asked if they have sashimi, and they said yes so he ordered 9 pieces of salmon sashimi. They charged him $18 with tax, which is fair, but he came home with sashimi slices that are so thin light can pass through them. All 9 slices probably can be combined into one normal slice of sashimi and some even have rice stuck to it that made me think they probably just peeled them off of someone’s roll. Definitely would not recommend this place. It’s a complete ripoff. The fact that they have the audacity to sell him that is ridiculous. Contacting service email got me a prompt respond to address the issue, therefore I’m changing my review to a 3 star.
