A large municipal park with an aquatic center, a nature center, a mature forest, a lake house, reservable shelters, and most other amenities typically available in most municipal parks.

I didn’t stop at the aquatic center but from the sounds emanating from that direction, it (and it’s multiple slides) were the most popular attraction this warm Memorial Day weekend.

The exhibits at the nature center, just across the parking lot from the aquatic center, seemed to be geared towards very young kids. It also has a viewing room with picture windows that looked out towards the woods and towards some bird feeders placed just outside the window. It also has a sturdier wheelchair available for use by those who needed one to explore the forest. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware that it was available until after I took my own chair through the woods. Fortunately, however, the woods has a boardwalk that runs through much of it that made exploring that part of the park pretty easy anyway. At times this boardwalk also proved necessary as it allowed visitors to get past the patches of standing water throughout the woods.

The decorative lake house set amongst some of the more formal landscaping in the park serves multiple purposes. It’s used to rent canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats, It has a small selection of snacks for sale, and it’s main room can be reserved as a...

It was my 1st time goin there an I had a pretty good time. I went on the slide it went really fast towards the end it was so much fun. I decided I wanted to go on the slide again cuz they have 3 of them. So me an my niece went up the stairs to go on them again an a different lady was up there to guide people to go down at a safe time an she said we couldn't go on there because of our earrings, necklaces, ponytails, an goggles. The last lady didn't tell us that an she said that the other lady didn't know. So please tell me how she didn't know yet she was directing people to go down at a safe time. I'm not understanding. So it was 10 of us my family that spent alot of money to go have fun at a pool yet we get picked out not to be able to have fun...

This is a beautiful park that goes on and on for miles. Driving along the streets surrounding the park, you can see Carle Hospital several fast food establishments, and a tiny neighborhood. There are many ways to enjoy this park. Crystal Lake Park offers fishing, paddle boat rides, an educational center focused on nature and habitats, and a water park, just to name a few. There are plenty of places to hold get togethers, whether you rent the community center, reserve a spot or just relax in an open area. It's very clean and well-maintained. This park is the perfect place to go when you need to decompress. And you can bring your fur babies as long as they are leashed and supervised, AND you clean up...

My favorite place my Escape I call it Maddie me coffee and the 🌳This place I have had a tree dedicated to my little girl that passed away and have a 🌳 party at the playground every year on October 28 the day she passed and it was planted where she played, but I will tell you one thing I didn't pay as much as I paid for a dedication tree to be used for construction Pole and the next time I go there that yellow tape better be off my daughter's tree or I'll just rip it off get a pole stick it in the ground and get your tape off around my daughter's tree is not intended for a construction zone It is very disrespectful to her memory and I don't appreciate it one bit

I love this park for its location is close to the hospital, and it's a nice place to fish. Caught several decent sized bass and there is an older, but not in disrepair, dock that can be fished for individuals with disabilities. Be warned though, there is no guard rail so if you catch that monster fish and find him pulling you and not you pulling him(or her) there's a chance you just might roll right into the drink. That is if you are on wheels like I am anymore and not your own legs. Be safe and as always best of luck to you all....
