Windy City Express — Restaurant in Urbana

Me and my girl got sick eating the chicken fish combo( threw up all early morning 2am til later). Called about it to see if he can make things right. The women at the counter answered the phone and i told her the situation, she put me on hold(but I can still hear her talking to the owner or cook) and he said he doesn't know what happened and stated to her that we probably got food poisoning. The owner or cook picked up the phone and was very rude and told me that they sell hundreds of orders a day and never got one complaint, and told me that if I wanted a refund I would have to bring the food back with the receipt(we ordered are food late that night). This call was the next day after we already ate the food so bringing the food back was impossible, and if I've known that I was going to get sick I wouldn't of ate it let alone come to your restaurant. So based on my experience I would say that this place is nasty, and run by a typical restaurant owner that starred in Chef Ramsey...

My first time going to WCE, w/a friend, whom is a regular customer there, went to the drive-thru, Saturday evening bout 8, (tonight), two cars ahead of me, waiting time was no more than 5 minutes, and just arrived, my friend bought us dinner, Double cheeseburger gyro meal (Or dbl. gyro cheeseburger meals). I dunno? Arrived to the window, the employee; friendly, hilarious, good jokes, great sense of humor, upbeat, and made our night. The time I'd dropped off my friend, to his apartment, as I headed home in Thomasboro, of course my food still hot, fresh, and cannot wait to throwdown on some good grub, cuz the aroma of the food, the ol' skool grease-print brown paper bag, has me salivating, while driving in this damp, windy, rainy, fogged-up tint window vehicle. Anyways.. The food is Fiyuh, Wow!! Didn't know what to expect, but this meal, fantastic service, superceded my expectations, 4real 4real. 4/8/2019-I ordered 3 (2) hot dog combos for my kids and two orders of okra for myself with hot sauce on it. So first tact doesn’t exist here! I’m sitting at the window and whomever was preparing my food was complaining about my specification to add hot sauce to my okra. I heard “people think this is Burger King”, I heard issues about one hot dog order with only ketchup. The worst is yet to come, I get home and my fried Okra is drenched in hot sauce! I literally had to pour the excess off and then rinse it. So of course it’s soggy okra now so why did I buy fried okra?! Sad part is I have patronized them for a few years now since I’m newer to the area. I will never again and I’ll be sure to spread the word and pictures.
