For me the hike to the lake was more rewarding than the lake itself. Silver lake is beautiful although a little crowded. The birch tree forest is gorgeous and so peaceful. But don’t tattoo the trees with your initials – it’s childish and tacky. Enjoy them, don’t ruin them.

Did hike with 4 year old which turned out to be fun hike. Used All Trails app to ensure tracking of way to the lake solitude and back to silver lake

Pretty lake with a nice ~1.25 mile hike from Silver Lake visitor center. 4 stars because there is no where to sit on the edge of the water.

Beautiful up here. Plenty of trails to hike and explore. We saw a moose!
