This is a wonderful hike! When you get to the trailhead, there are two options. You can go left up to Twin Lake or go right to Lake Solitude. I did Twin Lake first and then came back down and cut across over to Lake Solitude, which was a great plan. Twin Lake has a very steep rocky bit (it was almost harder going down than up in that section), and Lake Solitude was a really easy one (though I would note that the All Trials map takes you on an abandoned trail with a bunch of fallen trees, so don't follow that ). It was a beautiful morning and with going early, I beat the crowds (I was already heading down when people were starting). I enjoyed it and it was beautiful--a great escape...

Twin Lakes is a lovely hike. Please note, it is a steep and rocky trail at certain points. It’s 1.25 miles and it took us about 50 minutes to get there and 45 minutes back. Please note we took a few breaks to enjoy the large amount of deer, squirrels, pika, birds and the fun view of Silver Lake. This hike is very close to Salt Lake city which makes it very ideal. It’s also a short hike to get to...

Beautiful hike! A little steep getting up to the lake however a quick 1.2 miles or so... continue on to Lake Mary. You will not be disappointed. Access from Silver Lake trail head. Silver Lake trail is very easy and flat. Just about anyone could walk that. Few other trails to hit while up there, including Lake Solitude. Make a day of it! Pack a...

This is a great short hike and the trail is relatively easy. I've seen numerous small children hike it. Watch for lots of animals deer pika, squirrels, chipmunks, and quite a bit more just keep your eyes out. The trail can get quite crowded in the afternoon on the weekends just be aware.
