I have really tried to like this place, but always feel like something is just off and never leave feeling good about the experience. Made a reservation for the Valentine's dinner at $75 a person. Arrived 10 mins early as requested when I made the reservation and were placed at a table that was obviously thrown together at the last minute. The chairs were folding chairs (not like the dining chairs on every other table), and the table was tiny (we were constantly moving things around on the table to get our drink glasses and plates to fit). We were also sitting almost on top of the musician so we could not talk during dinner it was so loud. The odd thing was that there was an empty table on the other side of us the entire meal. I realize that someone did not show up for our reservation, and it seems like they could have offered to move us when they realized that. The meal and wine were good, but the entire evening was ruined with the tiny table, uncomfortable chairs, and not being able to enjoy each other's company due to sitting right next to the musician (where I do not believe they intended to have a table but happened due to bad planning). With tip and one extra drink that was not included, we spent $200 for an experience that was definitely not worth that...
Read moreHorrible experience, again! If you want a good winery in the area, don't waste your time here. Go to Edge of the Lake Vineyards instead. Better wine and experience for sure. This was our second time to Firelight and this time we didn't even stay for wine. Our first experience was a few years back and the service was not good at all and the wine was meh. We decided to give them another shot. We sat at the bar hoping that would improve our service. It did not. We sat for almost 10 minutes before one of the three behind the bar even acknowledged us. He dropped off their sheet and briefly explained the process. We each filled ours out, put down our pens and waited. We sat for several more minutes while the bar staff chatted behind the bar. We finally just left and still no one even acknowledged or cared. They are probably used to it. They need to improve their staffing standards. I don't foresee us giving them another shot. Go to Edge of the...
Read moreWent to Firelight Vineyards about 6 months ago to buy a bottle of wine, staff was helpful and wine was decent. Went there today since I was in Valley View to buy a couple of bottles. The lady at the front was friendly and took us to the bar to order the bottles and we were given a menu. The bar was not busy at all. No employee acknowledged my presence or even looked at me after I was given the menu and I stood at the bar register waiting to buy a bottle. It was very awkward feeling. After just standing around for awhile at tge register we decided to just leave and ended up picking up a bottle of rum and Bourbon at the local distellery on the square who were very helpful and quick even though they were pretty busy. Will not go back...
