STOP at this place right off I-35! Super nice folks. Small store but has a TON of stuff. Amazing meat counter with the most helpful staff behind the counter. Tip: Get the hamburger patties that have the cheese and peppers (maybe jalapeno or poblano). These things are the best burger patty I've ever had. Super flavorful. Make sure to save me a couple though :) Also, the sausage is good (all of it) and the bacon is better than I've had in a lot of places. Also - they have stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon, brussel sprouts wrapped in bacon, and big chile relano peppers wrapped in bacon. All of them are really good. They have ice cream that's made in Gainesville and fresh baked loaves of bread. This place has just about everything that a big grocery store has but I can be in/out in less than 10 minutes. Also shout out to the nice ladies at the checkout who do an awesome job bagging up all my stuff! I will be back many more times. Happy Trails! Also, thanks to David from Meunster, TX for telling my...
Read moreI've been here twice now and each time it's better. They've expanded their store. Yes, prices can be high but you're getting quality LOCAL products all in one shop. I'm sure I could drive to each place and I'd be paying the gas to get there. With this option, I was already in town at the farmers market and only needed (wanted) one item I had purchased previously. I walked out with 3 items, all made locally. This store is clean! Like super clean!!! The meat display is on point! They have a ton of options from a variety of choices. Currently have MASSIVE watermelons available. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any purchase. Again, I could go down the road to Walmart for cheaper non local items and spend my gas and time driving to get there. Or, I can support local farmers, and families, and buy where I know it's good quality items. I'd...
Read moreFirstly, every employee is enjoyable to talk to, helpful, and prompt. As we are from Houston, I make it a point to stop here on the way in as well as the way out of town so I can bring home some steaks that are as delicious as they are beautiful. This time we tried the pickle poppers- which im definitely going to be adding to my rotation of appetizers. While some things are a bit high priced, the convenience of not having to drive 30 minutes one way to a usual grocer justifies it for me. Also, be sure to check the freezer case- I was delighted to get a beautifully marbled cut of beef cheek, which will be making barbacoa for the family this week. I definitely...
